Advanced Diploma in emergency medicine course is a course offered for graduated nurses (post BSC nursing) of 2 years duration, thus comprises of the 1st year training and the s2nd year internship. During these periods the graduate is exposed to the fully - fledged intensive care units (ICU's - SICU, CCU, MICU, PICU< NICU and CTICU), critical ares like the Labour Room, Operation Theatre, where the graduate gets hands on experience on various procedures including IV cannulation, EJV cannulation, ET intubation, urinary bladder catheterisation and suturing of miron wounds. The students will get an opportunity to assist in various emergency procedures like ICD insertion, Central line catherisation, Suprapubic puncture etc.
